Fish found in the lakes include Northern Pike, Perch, Whitefish and Walleye, with neighbouring lakes also holding smallmouth bass, tiger, rainbow and brook trout. In the winter months, guests can keep busy ice fishing, skating, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Denare Beach was significantly impacted by wildfire earlier this summer. Overland Resort managed to survive unscathed, which leaves opportunity to house workers rebuilding Denare Beach over the next several years.
