Hideaway Lodge — Legacy Fishing Lodge For Sale on the Clearwater–Pipestone Chain
Hideaway Lodge has been operating continuously since 1929 — nearly a century on the same water. That kind of tenure is rare in this market, and it means something: established repeat clientele, a known fishery, and a reputation that a new owner inherits rather than builds from scratch. The main camp sits on approximately 6 acres of private lakefront on a sheltered bay of Clearwater Lake, about one hour northwest of Fort Frances via Highways 11, 71, and 615.
Drive-in access is a genuine valuation advantage here. Guests arrive with boat trailers, coolers, and gear — no charter weight limits, no floatplane scheduling. That broadens the buyer pool on both ends: more guests can access it, and more buyers can operate it. The lodge steps beyond the end of a road, not a runway.
The sale is fully turnkey. Five furnished waterfront cabins, the main 2,200 sq ft lodge building, two licensed remote outpost cabins, 13 boats, all linens, kitchen inventory, and equipment are included. A new septic system and updated water infrastructure have been installed. Starlink high-speed internet is in and operational. A buyer is not walking into deferred maintenance — the physical plant is current.

Hideaway Lodge sits at the gateway to the Clearwater–Pipestone Chain of Lakes — an eleven-lake interconnected system with over 70 miles of navigable water accessible entirely by boat from the main camp dock. This is one of Northwestern Ontario's most productive multi-species freshwater systems, and it's the core of the guest value proposition.
Clearwater Lake itself is widely recognized for exceptional smallmouth bass and trophy muskie. The broader chain delivers walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and yellow perch across varied habitat — still bays, connecting channels, and deeper structure. Guests routinely book repeat weeks to target different species at different times of season. The two licensed outpost camps extend the fishery further: Pipestone Outpost sits 28 miles out on the northwest arm of Pipestone Lake (deep water for lake trout and northern pike), and West Jackfish Outpost is 25 miles from main camp on Jackfish Lake (prime walleye and northern territory).
All main camp cabins are fully furnished waterfront units on Clearwater Lake, each with full kitchen equipment, linens, bedding, BBQ, and patio furniture. All furnishings are included in the sale.

Hideaway Lodge sits on a sheltered bay on Clearwater Lake, accessed via Dam Road off Highway 615 — approximately 45 miles north of the International Falls / Fort Frances border crossing. Guests driving from Winnipeg follow Highway 71 south to Nestor Falls, then Highway 615 north to the property.
The drive-in location supports boat trailer access, winter road access for ice fishing and snowmobile programs, and the full range of gear that fly-in weight limits would otherwise prohibit. For a buyer considering programming expansion, the access type alone opens corridors that a comparable fly-in property at this price point could not.
