    Overview

Located on Quesnel Lake claimed to be the deepest fresh water fjord lake in the world, the property boasts 2,165 ft. of lake frontage and consists of a spacious lodge, multiple separate residences, wood framed cabins and all the necessary gear/equipment for running a fly fishing lodge. The fishing lodge prides itself in excellent accommodations that result in a guest return rate of 75%! While the fishing business brings significant income, there is consistent rental income even in the off-season. There is no end in sight of amazing views and incredible wildlife surrounding the property. This trophy lodge is an incredible place to live, work, and play! Imagine owning your own fully equipped fly-fishing retreat, perfect for family or corporate getaways. Envision yourself fishing among spawning salmon and catch large rainbows and bull trout where the only other anglers on the stream are the grizzly bears!

This is what Fly Fishing is supposed to be! Wild fish in wild places! The Quesnel drainage is home to some of the most aggressive rainbow trout in the world and they are 100% native to these waters! More often than not the local rainbows are eager to eat dry fly patterns! Want to catch a rainbow on a mouse? Don’t worry, it will be hard to count how many fish you catch in a day! Suitable for all skill levels.

    Fly Fishing methods:

Most of our clients find 5-7 weight rods suitable for most applications. During the summer most clients prefer to only fish dry flies so a 5 weight is optimal. In the fall using a bit heavier of a rod may be beneficial especially if you intend to throw big streamers for bull trout. That being said, trout spey & euro-nymphing have also proven very productive methods for those so inclined. If fact, skating dries or streamers with a single hand trout spey can be very effective!

“This is an experience that is hard to find. You will likely not see another angler on our waters. That’s because Northern Lights Lodge is the only fly fishing lodge in the area. As a result, we hold over 70% of the licensed rod days in this 2,000,000+ acre watershed.” – Skeed Borkowski – Owner
